BT drops again as fears grow on full-fibre rivals

AstraZeneca, the £200 billion-valued pharmaceuticals group, fell 100p to 13,002p and Shell by 1% or 27p to 2706p to leave the top flight just 4.82 points higher at 8287.14.

BT led the fallers board for a second day in a row after competition fears were fuelled by Sky’s deal to launch broadband services on the rival CityFibre network. The shares dropped another 1.95p to 134.35p, having closed 6% lower yesterday.
