FULHAM are closing in on a deal worth about £35million to sign Emile Smith Rowe from Arsenal, while Ryan Sessegnon has agreed a return to Craven Cottage on a free transfer.
Smith Rowe was left out by Arsenal for their friendly win against Bournemouth in Los Angeles overnight and the 23-year-old is now expected to finalise his move to Craven Cottage.
Talks between the clubs are at an advanced stage and Smith Rowe is set to leave the Arsenal squad in America to discuss personal terms with Fulham and have a medical.
“There are things happening in the background and we decided the best thing to do was keep him away from the game today,” said manager Mikel Arteta after Arsenal beat Bournemouth on penalties following a 1-1 draw in their first pre-season fixture.
