Radio host Theakston thanks listeners after cancer diagnosis

JAMIE THEAKSTON has revealed he has been diagnosed with stage 1 laryngeal cancer after listeners alerted him that “something wasn’t quite right” with his voice.
The 53-year-old Heart Radio host, who presents the station’s weekly breakfast show alongside Amanda Holden, said he had undergone an operation to remove a lesion from his vocal chords.
