Rajasthan Congress president Govind Singh Dotasra on Sunday accused the BJP of politicising the Election Commission and "plotting a major scam" in the upcoming panchayat and local body elections.

JAIPUR:

According to a senior leader, Dotasra, while addressing the extended state party executive meeting, said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was "politicising the Election Commission and conspiring to carry out a major scam in the panchayat and local body elections". He also allegedly urged the party workers to remain alert and form a strong Booth-Level Agent (BLA) team to counter these attempts.

The leader quoted Dotasra as saying that his position at present may not be significant in the long run but he worked for building a strong and enduring party. "Today I am here, tomorrow someone else will be in my place, and then another after that. What matters is not what I have gained, but the need to create a robust organisation for the future," he stated.
