A MUM whose family fled a house fire twice in three months fears that a third blaze could lead to disaster.
May Keegan and her partner John Doody, who are both in their 50s, and son Sean, 13, were evacuated from their home for a second time on January 26.
Gardai rescued them when a neighbouring house went up in flames.
All three have spent the last 13 days in a 125-a-night hotel room at a cost of 1,625 so far, excluding their meals.
May, who lives at Haughton Place in New Ross, Co Wexford, is distressed by their temporary homelessness.
She said: We just want to be home and safe.
“Both fires happened during the daytime. If they had broken out at night, we would be dead.
“Our bedroom just filled up with smoke.
