
ASDA staff staged a demonstration in Manchester city centre yesterday to mark the start of a large-scale equal pay claim court case.
The GMB union said the case involves more than 60,000 workers and called it the biggest ever to be held within the private sector.
Workers with placards and banners demonstrated outside Manchester's Civil Justice Centre, where the case is due to be heard, and outside the TUC conference in Brighton.
