NHS staff forced to take paper notes after IT issues

STAFF at Manchester's biggest NHS Trust claim they have been left unable to access key patient data and forced to take paper notes following 'repeated' system outages over the last week.

Sources told the M.E.N. they had been instructed not to access the patient record system Hive 'multiple times' since last Tuesday.

They claimed the repeated outage had led to cancelled appointments and surgeries, and forced them to take paper notes which will now need to be individually scanned back into the system.
