Sikh committee seeks action against bldr, soc office-bearers

The Delhi Sikh Gurudwara management committee (DSGMC) has written to the Mumbai police chief, urging to book the office-bearers of Chembur's upscale Maitri Park co-operative housing society and Shoden Developers for “failing” to reconstruct a four-decade-old gurudwara after demolition.
The committee, a statutory body engaged in managing historic gurudwaras, has alleged that the act has hurt the Sikh community's religious sentiments.
The society has been facing struggles for redevelopment for 18 years. Recently, two of its residents issued a legal notice to the society officebearers Developers.
