Arts organisations play role in wellbeing event

ARTS and culture groups and organisations from across Plymouth are to take part in a major health and wellbeing event at the University of Plymouth.

Arts and Culture for Health and Wellbeing is a market-hall style event that aims to promote collaboration and strengthen bonds between arts and culture groups with health workers and researchers to enhance the quality of life for residents across the city and throughout Devon and Cornwall.

Organizers at the university, alongside Wolseley Trust’s Healthy Futures Service, welcome arts/culture groups to get in touch and register to join The Arts and Culture for Mental Health event on November 16, at the Roland Levinsky Building, from 9.30 am to 3 pm. Registration is free and the day is catered. Those wanting to take part should email Russ Evans at Russell.evans@ Plymouth.ac.uk.

The event will include the opportunity for arts/culture organizations to have a stall and will include talks, roundtables, and workshops about the benefits of arts/culture to health and wellbeing.
