Better internet to be rolled out to thousands

NETWORK PROVIDER 'AIMS TO TACKLE DIGITAL INEQUALITY'

MORE than 25,000 homes and businesses across Devon are to be offered improved internet connectivity as Cornwall-based alternative network provider Wildanet announces a major expansion into Devon for its gigabit-capable broadband network.

Areas including South Brent, Totnes, Yealmpton and Yelverton stand to benefit from the push to male high-speed internet available in rural and hard-to-reach areas.

Wildanet, founded in 2017, is now working in more than 15 areas across the county in addition to its significant roll-out in Cornwall.

Earlier this year, Wildanet began working in Totnes, installing a new fibre network for the town.
