Coming home to an Albion win cured my holiday blues!
The Herald
|September 28, 2024
THANK goodness for that, we are finally back to enjoying the sweet taste of a home win, after sneaking a victory over Leicester Lions last weekend at the Brickfields Fortress.
In front of a huge crowd - and glorious weather in Devonport as well - I must say it was the perfect tonic to my holiday blues!
Although we did get the win, the last 20 minutes certainly got the heart rate up, when we went from 27-5 at 56 minutes on the clock to conceding two converted tries and a penalty to finish the game 27-22. Still, a win is a win, and we can most certainly work on the mistakes that were made in the final moments.
We are now sitting eighth in the National League One table. It is not where we wanted to be, but we are heading in the right direction nonetheless.
