A PLYMOUTH woman who woke up unable to walk or talk was rushed to hospital after her daughter realised she was having a stroke. Renee Phippen recognised the symptoms her mum Vaishali was experiencing through her first aid training in her job as a Virgin Atlantic flight attendant.
Vaishali said she was left “frightened and confused” after waking up at 5am on October 12 last year, also noticing that her arm was numb. Renee immediately saw the main signs of a stroke from her training at work and called for an ambulance.
