Lyric poetry with a psychological slant

ANDREW TO READ IN LONDON AND PLYMOUTH

POET Andrew Martin will give a special reading of his recently published long poem in London tomorrow and will then return to Plymouth to read on the same bill as renowned publisher and editor David Caddy.

Andrew will read A Dreaming at the Cranley Gallery, in Muswell Hill, accompanied by ambient music from Riigs.

But on Friday, November 3, from 6.45pm, he will be at the Plymouth Language Club, at the Barbican’s Rocket and Rascals cafe, to support David’s headline performance.

Also on the bill will be Plymouth’s Rachel Gippetti, who has just had her new collection When Everything was Red and Eaten published by Andrew’s Shoals of Starlings Press.

Andrew’s debut collection, Shoals of Starlings, was described as “a wonderful mix of minimalist lyric poetry with a psychological slant” and came with impressive abstract illustrations.
