Saturday was another day lost to the elements - Parkway’s fifth successive postponement - as the constant rain on Friday left their Bolitho Park pitch unplayable, but the weather warning for more rain today doesn’t affect the London area, much to the relief of the Parkway boss.
He is confident that tonight’s game at Hanwell Town will go ahead and with Saturday’s clash at Basingstoke Town taking place on a 3G surface, then it might just be a busy but welcome week for the Parkway crew as they finally return to action.
“They were away at Winchester on Saturday, so I fully expect us to play tomorrow,” Hobbs said. “The weather forecast looks completely fine for there and I think we will play both games this week. It’s something to look forward to.”
