A PLYMOUTH man has been jailed for eight-and-a-half years after he was found guilty of raping a woman, causing a "significant impact" on her life, police said.
Daniel Pakeman, aged 29 and of Peel Street in Stonehouse, appeared at Plymouth Crown Court yesterday, where he was sentenced for one count of rape and one count of attempted rape on February 29, 2020.
The jury in the trial found him guilty last month of both counts and Pakeman was granted bail pending the sentencing hearing, which was presided over by Judge Peter Johnson.
