A sub-inspector with the armed reserve police here who was under suspension was arrested by forest department officials on Monday for alleged collusion with a gang into illegal sale of gift items made from elephant tusk.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of forest officials attached with the Villupuram range in November 2024 arrested 12 people for allegedly involving in the illegal sale of ivory
