Marcos Picks Digital Technocrat as New DICT Chief

President Marcos has named a bank executive and digital technocrat as the new chief of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Malacañang announced yesterday.
Henry Rhoel Aguda, former president and chief executive officer of UnionDigital Bank, will replace Ivan John Uy, who resigned from the DICT this month.
In a statement, the Presidential Communications Office said Aguda's experience spans the banking, technology and telecommunications sectors. He specializes in digital transformation, digital banking and financial crimes.
