Shaky US offer All Whites confidence
The Straits Times|September 11, 2024
New Zealand may be smarting from a 3-0 loss to Mexico over the weekend, but the world's 94th-ranked side believe they can bounce back quickly and beat the United States in another friendly on Sept 11 to build momentum before their next World Cup qualifying window.

The All Whites face the 16thranked Americans in Cincinnati in their last friendly fixture before heading into Oceania qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup in North America.

Though outclassed by Mexico in Pasadena on Sept 8, the New Zealanders sense vulnerability in a US team beaten 2-1 by Canada at the weekend, their first home loss to their neighbours in 67 years.
