BJP picks 40-odd seats for extra effort to counter stiff competition from rivals

Facing a stiff challenge from Aam Aadmi Party, BJP is giving a final push to consolidate its numbers to win the fourth consecutive MCD election.

New Delhi: Sources said the party has identified about 40-odd seats, where the rival parties won in 2017 with thin margins. Senior party leaders said while 30 of these seats were decided with a margin of less than 1,000 votes, the difference of votes on the remaining 10 was between 1,000 and 2,000 votes.
