Born in Madrid, Javier currently resides in Malaga, Spain.
With extensive experience in the photographic world, he has dedicated the last eight years to this field of microphotography, currently being one of the greatest specialists in "extreme macro" in the world. Having obtained numerous awards and conducted numerous exhibitions and talks on this photographic specialty (mainly aimed at photographers), he is the administrator of some of the largest groups specialized in this matter in social networks and internet forums.
Your macro images are stunning. Tell us a bit about your story and how you ended up specializing in macro photography?
I have been connected to the world of photography for many years, but in this specialty of extreme macro I started approximately 8 years ago. The decision to dedicate myself to this type of photography came after seeing an image of a spider that had been made with a microscope objective (a complex multi-lens assembly) adapted to a reflex camera at 10x magnification. That image shocked me. I think it was decisive in my decision to dedicate all my efforts to learning and mastering this technique, which was then almost unknown.
