BARDS' LATE GOAL BLAST LEAVES YELTZ IN DESPAIR

The first half started evenly with few chances, although Jak Hickman flashed an early low shot wide after McKauley Manning robbed the away defence and a 26th minute speculative 35-yard effort from Stratford captain Paul McCone landed on top of the net.

The game opened up later in the half as Manning brought a 36th minute save from Stratford goalkeeper Jake Weaver and defender Ryan Wollacott just failed to connect with the resulting corner at the far post.
