THEY may be stratospheres apart but did Step 4 Wroxham miss out on living the Hollywood dream by just one vowel?

NOW IT'S..WELCOME To WROXHAM

The Norfolk village club are regularly confused with their near-namesakes Wrexham, famously owned by A-list actors Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney and stars of the hit Disney+ documentary, Welcome to Wrexham.

So, to bring an end to the confusion, the Yachtsmen have launched a brand of their own with a ‘mockumentary’ series about their club.

Premiering at their Trafford Park home yesterday, the Wroxham version has already enjoyed widespread praise from footballing circles after the recent trailer release.

And now ‘Welcome to Wroxham’ posters have even been placed up outside Wrexham’s Racecourse home and The Turf pub, made famous by the original programme.

Wroxham chairman James Blower says the Isthmian North club have been overjoyed at the reaction at the launch of the documentary and says he is looking forward to showing off all that is good about their club – even in the hope of landing ‘The Vowel Derby’ fixture in the future.

“So far, it’s been pretty overwhelming; to be to be honest,” Blower told The NLP. “We’ve had a fantastic response to it. I think we’ve had over a million views across social media channels now, with the trailers and the content around it. So, it’s been pretty, pretty impressive.
