Established in 1982 - 20 years after A&K started travelling to and raising funds for conservation efforts in Kenya's Masai Mara National Reserve - the company's philanthropic arm AKP is guided by four key pillars: conservation, education, health care and social enterprise.

More than four decades later, AKP continues to raise and donate millions of dollars to support scores of crucial community, wildlife and environmental projects on all seven continents.

This innovative form of global philanthropy works by introducing guests to grassroots organisations making a difference in the places and communities they visit and providing much-needed assistance to disadvantaged people and endangered wildlife.
