Holiday humbug

There's one thing the Princess of Wales won't be asking for this Christmas - and that's a reconciliation with her brother-in-law Prince Harry.

In the past, Kate, 41, has been the one to hold out an olive branch to the estranged royal, to try to engineer a truce between him and her husband Prince William.

But following the attacks unleashed by Harry, 39, in his memoir Spare earlier this year, Kate's given up on any attempts to get the family back together, says a royal expert.

Author Jennie Bond says after once being very close to Harry, 39, Kate's relationship with him is now broken and she has no plans to act as a mediator this year.
