There's no denying it - getting to see your GP can be difficult. 'It can feel overwhelming, especially if online booking services and smartphone apps aren't things you're used to." says Dr Deborah Lee (doctorfox.co.uk).
With some patients having waited more than four weeks to be seen by a GP at the start of this year, these expert solutions could help you get the most out of your medical services.
SEEK ALTERNATIVE ADVICE FIRST
Can't see your GP? Pharmacists are capable of offering advice and over-thecounter treatments - and might be able to sort the problem immediately without any appointment. The NHS website (nhs.uk) also has a lot of free information and advice, so it's worth seeing if that can help first. Plus, getting an appointment with the practice nurse might be swifter.
'Nurses often run clinics for things like diabetes, minor ailments and wound dressing, suggests Dr Lee.
