It may sound like a strange prescription, but American scientists have proved that this amount of prunes has the power to reduce inflammation – thought to contribute to bone loss and osteoporosis – in postmenopausal women. Chop them up in your porridge or granola, or snack on a few with nuts.
EXERCISE AT THE RIGHT TIME TO LOSE WEIGHT
Set your alarm – women could benefit the most if they exercise between 6am and 8am.* One study found that women burned more body fat during morning exercise, whereas evenings seemed to be a better time for men to exercise. So, whether you love a long walk or prefer a short but sharp workout, schedule it in early doors for maximum impact.
