It was a typical morning. Rosa woke up from her bed and plodded lazily to the washroom. Even though her life as a freelance artist had turned out to be pretty successful, it seemed to have taken a toll on her everyday routine. Oftentimes, she slept late and woke up late, which caused her body clock to become disturbed.
Today was Sunday. And she had already decided how she was going to spend this day, that is, detoxing her senses from her laptop and internet, rather than spending the time organising her thoughts and her life. After showering, she made out a blank notebook from her desk shelf, and started jotting down her thoughts, one by one, in a list.
Not only did she enjoy the process, but by supper time, she also felt considerably lighter, sorted out and organised in her head than before.
The story of Rosa is just one of the many examples. People the world over are fascinated and allured by the activity of list-making. Lists, who doesn’t like lists after all?
