A reimagined beach house, with lashings of style, works congenially with its coastal environment to create a standout project. It is a new build, which is in the place of a rundown twostorey home-in such dire need of repair that a knock-down-rebuild was the best course of action. With the slate scrubbed clean, the possibilities were endless.

The homeowners have frequently holidayed in the pristine picturesque Appollo Bay, and decided the beachside vibe was perfect for a relaxed threebedroom family home. The upstairs master bedroom takes in the extensive views. It's located on the edge of the Marengo Marine Sanctuary, which covers 12 hectares of ocean waters.

This abode is the quintessential essence of laidback living in harmony with the environment. It's home to two adult professionals, their grown-up offspring, and a golden retriever. The home is made up of a ground-level carport, two kids' bedrooms, bathroom and outdoor fire deck - an idyllic place to gather on a cool evening. As well as the master bedroom and ensuite upstairs, there is a powder room and generous open-plan kitchen and pantry. There's also open-plan dining and living with a barbecue deck for relaxed dining outdoors.
