COPPER IS THE NEW SALMON
August Man SG
|Issue 184
The new BR 05 Copper Brown and the latest Laureato Copper 38 are two exemplars of a nascent watchmaking trend that is embracing the rich sunset hue
-
WHEN FIRST INTRODUCED, the Bell & Ross BR 05 collection gave us a sportive, integrated bracelet design on the circle-within-a-square aesthetic that made the Parisian brand iconic. What started as a simple time and date affair has expanded the collection to include a repertoire of chronograph, GMT, skeletonised and even a power reserve edition. Since its creation, the BR 05 has experimented with colours and shades. This time, Bell & Ross goes back to basics with the BR 05 Copper Brown.
“You have to breathe life into a range,” explains Bruno Belamich, Creative Director and co-founder of Bell & Ross. “It can be achieved through technique (movement), materials or details. For the BR 05 Copper Brown, we chose the colour.”
