Paralysed in horror smash
A MAN described by paramedics as the "most broken" patient they had ever seen after a horrific head-on crash has now trekked to Everest base camp five years on.
Simon Clark, 44, was rescued by air ambulance after a horror smash in 2019 in which his partner Lindy died.
The ex-estate agent broke his spine and neck, leaving his head connected to his body by just muscle and skin.
Doctors did not think he would survive but feared that if he did, he would not be able to walk, talk, eat or breathe unaided.
