Viola, the last single woman in her friend group, reconnects with Adam, a former classmate, while preparing to be her best friend's maid of honor. Could this reunion amid wedding preparations lead to romance?

Sew in love

"At the start of wedding season, Viola Davies swung open the tailor shop's door for her last fitting. Her best friend, Eliza Dunkin, was getting married in two weeks and she was the maid of honor. The two had been inseparable since they'd started working at the advertising company five years ago. That's when Eliza had first started dating her now fiancé, Rowan.

Viola felt a twinge of sadness as she remained the only single woman among her friends. She often wondered if there was anyone left out there for her.

The tailor shop smelled of sewing machine oil and fabric softener. "One minute!" Mrs. Choo called from the back. There was a tall, slim man with his back to Viola, his arms outstretched as Mrs. Choo worked on his waist. The seamstress looked up and smiled. "Early again, Miss Viola."

The man startled at her name and looked over his shoulder.

"Vi?" She recognized that profile from years ago, when she had quietly watched him in class. It had been ages since she heard his nickname for her, warming her to the core.

"Adam!" Viola went to stand in front of the mirrors so he wouldn't have to crane his neck to see her. He was no longer the gangly teen that was all angles.

The years had filled out his face and frame, but the laughter in his eyes, the delight in his voice were still there.
