Highlights of Auto Today January 2025 issue:
The first Auto Today issue of 2025 is out now, and the biggest highlight of this issue is our preview of India’s largest ever automotive exposition - the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The entirety of the expo will include six shows which are to be held at three different venues, Bharat Mandapam, Yashobhoomi and the Greater Noida Expo mart. We have a 24-page preview of what to expect at the Auto Expo. Electric ofcourse will be the biggest highlight, with Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai debuting their latest mass-market EVs. Our cover story for the month is the Hyundai Creta Electric, which we have driven. The Creta is the most popular SUV in its segment, and one of the highest selling cars in India since its debut, and while this electric version is based on the same platform as the ICE Creta, it promises to deliver a lot more. We also got behind the wheel of the updated BMW Z4 M40i, a proper drop-top sports car that has razor sharp reflexes. We have also ridden the Suzuki GSX-8R, a motorcycle that not only behaves like a guided missile but can be used as a long-distance tourer. You can read all about India’s most prestigious awards - ICOTY and IMOTY 2025 in our feature. For the latest part of the Heritage of India with Hyundai, we took the Exter to Dehradun, while we also visited Mahindra’s brand-new EV and battery manufacturing facility. Continental Tyres held a track day for us to test out their new and improved range of tyres, aimed to make Indian roads safer. Our Long Term section includes monthly reports on the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV, Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Swift, Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450, Hero Mavrick, Maruti Suzuki Dzire and TVS Apache RTR 310 while the Ather Rizta joins the fleet. As always, we have all the latest news from around the world, including motorcycles, cars, motorsport and commercial vehicles. Enjoy this issue of Auto Today and drive safely with seatbelts on regardless of where you’re seated and ride safe wearing helmets at all times.
