While mould is a ubiquitous presence in the built-environments across the GCC region, why is the response of building owners to the scourge so alarmingly varied? I was recently talking to the engineering director of a hotel in the UAE. For a good 30 minutes or so of our hour-long conversation, all he spoke of was how his team and he were combating mould.
