Learning from our current state of affairsSome analysts and companies say that business as usual after COVID-19 won’t mean the same. That’s because facets of life – and priorities – are changing. In the Philippines, the lockdown imposed since March 2020 revealed the strong and weak points of the supply chain. For instance, fresh produce suppliers from the provinces could not immediately distribute their goods to their destinations, and problems such as these translate to lost revenue and food waste. At one point, government has encouraged city dwellers to grow their own garden patch. This is one of the reasons Singapore has been open to developing urban farms.There is freedom in self-reliance.
