The BJP on Thursday alleged that the opposition parties have decided to boycott the inauguration of the new Parliament building by Prime Minister Narendra Modi just because it has been built at his initiative. Senior BJP leader and former Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said the new building is a symbol of India's pride and appealed to the opposition parties to attend the historic day of its inauguration on May 28 by showing a big heart.

The Karnataka cabinet on Thursday decided to repeal the anti-conversion law brought in by the previous BJP government.

A 10-member CBI team, which is in Odisha to probe the triple train accident, inspected the tracks, signal room and talked to railway officials at Bahanaga Bazar station in Balasore district on Tuesday. Atleast 261 people were killed and over 900 were injured in a horrific train derailment that took place on Friday evening at around 7 pm in Odisha’s Balasore.
