The BMW 310 platform has already spawned two BMW products to date which includes the G 310 GS and the G 310 R. The third iteration came in form of the TVS Apache RR 310 considering that all the 310 bikes are built through a technical collaboration between BMW and TVS in TVS’ manufacturing facility in Hosur. Now, BMW has launched the G 310 RR which is primarily slated at taking on the world markets and India as well.
The G 310 RR hence is all too familiar to us. It features the same sleek aerodynamic design which we have always loved. The LED headlights do a splendid job of not just looking good but performing rather well. The beams actually pierce through the darkness making night rides rather enjoyable. Then there is the fuel tank which looks cool and muscular and at the same time can hold a generous 11 litres of petrol. In profile, one can spot the exposed frame in red which contrasts well with the BMW colours. The graphics make one remind of BMW’s larger supersport motorcycle and that’s a good thing. The LED tail lamp too remains a striking design feature. The instrument panel is an all-digital affair and the intro graphics have been tweaked to announce that one is riding a BMW motorcycle. The switchgear is easy to operate and one can use it to tweak through the four riding modes which include, Rain, Urban, Sport and Track. All this is possible thanks to the ride-by-wire tech which has been included in the bike.
