The Magnite has been Nissan's sole product in India, up until the recent introduction of the X-Trail. To address its issues with premiumness, Nissan has brought a mid-life update to the Magnite

The Magnite has been Nissan's bread and butter for the past few years, but it has lost out to newer and improved models. A major reason for this has been how dated the sub-4m SUV started feeling only after a couple of years of its launch, with the main complaints pertaining to the premiumness that some of its rivals provided.

To address its weaknesses, Nissan has given the Magnite an update, and some of us would be hard pressed to notice the differences, but the minor changes aim to make it an even better VFM package.

Let's start with the exterior where the changes are minor, or rather very close to what the older car looks like, and I feel it is a good thing, because the older car looked good, and had great road presence for its size. This new one adds a dash of SUV character that it lacked earlier. The grille has grown in size, and gets a piano black colour which now extends to the elongated headlamps, while the bumper gets silver accents and new foglamp housings. It also gets new 16-inch alloys, while at the rear the taillamps while following a familiar design get a 3D look, and look much better than before. The Sunrise Copper Orange exterior shade you see on the Magnite on these pages is also new, and looks quite fresh.
