Actually, I say you probably won’t see a Niken ridden like that again, but back in November Dave actually took delivery of one that he’s been given by Yamaha ‘specially to use in his stunt shows so, if you go to one, you’ll see one ridden like that and, depending on how much room he’s given to play in, maybe even more spectacularly – the area he had to work with at Copdock (big thanks to Roo Hall and the Copdock Classic Motorcycle Club for letting us use their showground) was only big enough for him just to get it up, so to speak, before he had to put it down again and so, given enough room, he can get it up to balance point and up through the ‘box, which is always pretty bloody impressive. I BOUGHT MY ENFIELD, A 2001 350 BULLET, IN SHROPSHIRE IN JUNE 2019, WITH JUST 11,000 MILES ON THE CLOCK. IT WAS IN TRIALS TRIM, BUT I ALREADY HAD IN MY HEAD WHAT I WANTED TO DO WITH IT – MAKE IT INTO A ‘50S-STYLE CUSTOM, BASED LOOSELY AROUND AN INDIAN SCOUT THAT I’D SEEN PICTURES OF.
