Factory’s brake development car for 1955 race could be yours for £85k
An ex-works Triumph TR2 development car for the 1955 Le Mans race is for sale at £85,000.
The car, registered PKV 373 in 1955, didn’t actually race, but sister vehicles PKV 374-6 competed successfully, the fastest achieving an average 85mph over the 24-hour event. All three finished, but the result was overshadowed by the infamous fatal Mercedes crash.
