Lewis Hamilton returned to form in Montreal, Canada after a dismal round in Monaco, taking the first step of the podium, whilst his team-mate Valtteri Bottas secured a second place, giving the Silver Arrows another one-two result.
Hamilton’s flawless run resulted in him closing the deficit to Drivers Championship leader Sebastian Vettel to just 12 points, down from 25 when the F1 circus left Monaco. Daniel Ricciardo secured third place in his Red Bull, and celebrated with the popular “shoey” - drinking champagne from his racing boot.
