She’s made headway in the acting world in recent years – appearing in a string of Marvel movies as Wanda Maximoff, also known as the Scarlet Witch – but when she’s not playing a superhero, Elizabeth Olsen tells us she loves nothing more than being in the kitchen and flower arranging.
“I love to cook and be homely,” she says.
The busy 31-year-old, who is engaged to musician Robbie Arnett, is currently on a break from filming Doctor Strange 2 in London and the debut of her series WandaVision, a spin-off of the movies, has just landed on Disney+.
Speaking of the show, she tells us, “We’re telling the story of these two Marvel characters that we know and love, Wanda and Vision [played by Paul Bettany]. And we’re throwing them into a sitcom in different time periods and eras, so something isn’t quite right. It’s a big mystery.”
Elizabeth comes from an all-star family and her sisters are famous acting twins turned-designers Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. And the star is quick to tell us in our chat the importance her family and friends are in her life.
“Growing up, I’ve always been surrounded by girlfriends. It’s the most important relationships I think I’ve ever had in my life, because I spent more time with them at school than I did with my own parents,” she says.
