SINGING SENSATION 'I GO OUT OF MY WAY TO BE AN EMBARRASSING DAD!'

It's clear the United Kingdom holds a special place in legendary musician Bryan Adams' heart. Not only is the star currently touring the length and breadth of the country with his So Happy It Hurts headline tour, but his second daughter Lula, nine, was born here and her middle name is inspired by a favourite British classic.

"Her middle name is Rosylea," the dad-of-two tells us. "She was born in London and I was lying on the floor with her in the hospital and it was about four o'clock and it was time for a cup of tea. I looked at her and I said, 'Rosylea, cup of tea, that's your middle name!" he smiles.

Bryan kicked off his tour with an unforgettable three nights at London's Royal Albert Hall, which saw him perform a different album every night. "It's great to be back out touring. We've been away for a couple of years because there's been this thing [Covid-19] in the air that stopped everyone working for a while. You can really feel the sense of jubilation at being back in the audience," he says.

And Bryan's daughters Lula and Mirabella Bunny, 11 - he tells us she's named Bunny because she was born on Easter Friday - have also joined him on the road. "They love coming on tour with me. It's a lot of fun for them," he says of his girls, who he shares with his long-term British partner Alicia Grimaldi.

While he may be widely considered one of the most iconic rock musicians in the world, that doesn't mean Bryan is immune to being labelled an embarrassing dad now and again.

"I couldn't even tell you all the things I do to embarrass them. The list is far too long," he laughs. "I go out of my way to be embarrassing!"
