“Obviously, Allie has this guilt,” begins her portrayer, Lindsay Arnold. “Finding out that Tripp wants to propose doesn’t feel happy the way a proposal from someone you love should feel, because she’s hanging onto this massive secret. She doesn’t want to start a life with someone who she’s lying to. She has this thought of, ‘I need to tell him before he [proposes]. I can’t say yes and keep lying to him.’ ”
