Avani Chaturvedi Adds To Indian Glory By Flying MIG-21 Jet Solo For 30-Minutes

A twenty-four year old girl from a small city reached pinnacle of defence services in India in February 2018. A Flying Officer from Sastna in Madhya Pradesh, Avani Chaturvedi, scripted history by flying solo in a MIG-21 Bison fighter aircraft. She became the first Indian woman to achieve the feat, flying a training sortie for thirty-minutes.

Avani Chaturvedi flew the Mig-21 Bison, an aircraft known to touch the maximum speeds of more than 345 kilometers per hour during take-off and launch.
