A truly intriguing read, he speaks on how it all began and finally transpired into a book...
What made you venture into writing as a teen?
I was introduced to the wonder of books at an early age. It started with reading the works of Roald Dahl, JK Rowling, Rick Riordan and the other science fantasy fiction genre authors; after which I explored the mythological and historical genre books, which I immensely enjoyed as well. The characters would simply come to life. I started writing when I was 10.
It casually started with poems, ballads and short stories. Now writing, to me, is a medium to express my thoughts and perceptions about various things that affect us all at a very personal level. My fondness of storytelling eventually blossomed into writing this book. The plot and the characters developed along the way.
What draws you toward writing?
A lot of things inspire me to write, including my family, friends and our conversations. Then there’s nature, books, music, football, history, religion. In fact, even a stroll through the garden is an inspiration.
What prompted you to pen down The Unknown Realm - War and Beyond?
I began the journey three years ago. Discussions about the other world and the cycle of rebirth during one of my classes led me to think. The plot started developing in my mind and one fine day, I started putting my thoughts onto paper. I never thought that it will emerge as a book, but with each page, the story and the plot thickened as the characters strengthened. Parental support and encouragement came in and the result is here…my debut book!
