The Indians defeated the Boston Braves in the 1948 series. Temple made her last movie, A Kiss for Corliss, a year later. FYI, the Braves moved to Milwaukee in 1953 and then, in 1966, to Atlanta, where the team won the series in 1995, beating—you guessed it—the Indians.
