After announcing earlier this year that she is leaving Strictly Come Dancing, professional dancer Oti Mabuse swaps the ballroom sequins for the magic of matchmaking as the host of ITV's fun new musical dating show, Romeo & Duet.

In the seven-part series, singletons try to lure a potential date down from a balcony a by serenading them with a song. The twist is they can't see each other, but if the singer is successful, the pair finally meet face to face before performing a duet together to win the chance to go on a date.

What's the format of the new show?

One person is standing on a balcony hoping to be serenaded down a beautiful staircase before they go off and rehearse for a duet a performance. Four couples then perform and our studio audience decides which couple has the most chemistry - not the best singers, because not all of them are great singers! But the people that showed a genuine connection were the ones that won.
