As the Date of the 65th National Garment Fair, India’s Largest Apparel Trade Show, draws closer, so does the Enthusiasm of the Exhibitors reach a peak. The Spirit was Palpable at the Event that sounds the gong for the Exhibitors – the Draw of Lots. This event was held on May 22, 2017, at the Textile Committee Auditorium, Prabhadevi, Mumbai. The Draw of Lots event earmarked and set the stage for the 65th National Garment Fair. The event was held at the Textile Committee Auditorium in Prabhadevi, Mumbai, on May 22, 2017, at 11.00 AM. This milestone Event always takes off prior to the Exhibition, marking the beginning of the grand business event, which has been lined up for the Industry, this July. On entering the venue, the Exhibitors were handed the proposed floor plan and the set of rules to be observed during the Fair. A widespread but light breakfast was served to the Exhibitors prior to the Event.
The Draw of Lots was divided into three segments, according to the three main categories of Apparel being showcased at the Fair—women swear, kids’ wear and men swear. The event was hosted by a panel consisting of Mr Ashok Shah (Chairman of the Fair Sub Committee), Mr Rohit Munjal (Joint Chairman of the Fair Sub Committee) and Mr Mohan Sadhwani (Executive Director, CMAI), who joined them later.
