I love finding herbs that spice up our food and provide health benefits. Rosemary, an herb that is part of the same family as mint, is one of my favorites due to its myriad of potential benefits. My favorite applications of rosemary or rosemarybased nutrients are for two important areas of health— your eyes and your skin.

A native to the Mediterranean region, rosemary boasts centuries of acclaim for benefitting brain health and memory. This may be due to the active ingredient carnosic acid, an antioxidant that plays a role in multiple health benefits—especially when combined synergistically with other nutrients. Though it’s been long known for brain health, we have recently found benefits for multiple areas of the body including reducing inflammation, relieving pain, protecting the body from bacterial infections, and improving the immune system. Rosemary has also been used as an anti-aging herb for skin health and as an aide in detoxifying the body and skin.
