Technology has changed the way we experience love, intimacy and connection. How often do we text instead of talk, Skype instead of meeting face-to-face, or use emoticons instead of actually articulating our feelings? Moreover, what impact does it have on our relationships?

The beginning of each new relationship does fulfill the desires for both companionship and novelty... for a while. New lovers are awash in discovering every facet of one another. They spend endless hours memorising smells, memories, preferences, and desires. They are joyously intent upon living in each others hearts while voluntarily drowning in the magic of new lust. But does the digital age allow us a space safe to do so?

In the past, single people may have met potential dates mostly through family, friends, or colleagues. These days, people can increase their dating choices exponentially via online dating portals, all with relative ease. The benefits are pretty obvious: your chance of meeting someone that you click with increases with the more people you meet. But, the downside of this wealth of opportunity is that it makes people tend to rush to judgment based on superficial information and to constantly second-guess themselves about whether, by dating someone, they may be settling too soon, instead of finding the elusive Mr. or Ms. Right.
